The Medical/Dental Bus Ministry of NC Baptist Men
provides a means for free dental and very basic medical care to be offered to
residents of NC. Approximately 3500 people are treated annually through this
ministry in over 100 locations throughout the state. Patients targeted through
this ministry include people without insurance, the impoverished, Hispanic and
other ethnic groups, the homeless, the elderly and more. Basic medical care
involves blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks, and simple eye exams. Dental
treatments include fillings and extractions only—no root canals, crowns, bridges
or dentures. Referrals will be made to local physicians if problems are
identified. Each of the two buses have two dental offices. Local dentists and
assistants are recruited to volunteer their services at the clinics.
The bus clinic will be at Guilford Baptist Church, 5904
West Market St., on Saturday, August 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call the Guilford
Baptist Church office at 299-1234 for appointments on a first-come, first-serve
basis.
The Music & Worship Ministry is looking for teachers and helpers in Preschool &

yard work, etc. The cost will be $125.00 per person which covers food and double
occupancy in a local hotel. If you would like to go, please contact Bill Bailey
