Musical praise to the Creator can be traced back thousands of years when God set apart the tribe of Levi to lead His people in song and instrument. Worship has always been an essential and integral part of our Christian journey. God's Word states in Hebrews 13:15, "…let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, confessing thanks to His name."
There are many Biblical references that remind us to return praise to our Lord and Savior. The Psalms provide for us a glorious picture of how we are to worship God. Our God's love for us is so vast that in Zephaniah 3:17, He, God Almighty rejoices over us with singing. How amazing to serve the God that literally sings with joy.
At Lawndale, it is our desire to earnestly and faithfully give praise to our Lord and Savior. We believe in a corporate time of worship where we as a church body lift up praises as a collective group of people. It is our prayer that, no matter what age or background, you can experience an uplifting and dynamic worship service.
We offer our traditional (classic) service at 9:15 a.m. each Sunday. This service includes the great hymns of our faith along with a full choir and orchestra. This service is designed to be traditional in nature but dynamic in spirit.
Our contemporary (celebration) service begins at 10:45 a.m. on Sundays. We feature an accomplished praise band accompanied by a vocal praise team. We also enjoy incorporating a full choir in this service as part of this high powered worship service.
