Valentine Banquet
The church-wide Valentine Banquet will be Sunday, February 12, at 6:15pm in the CLC. Tickets will be $9 for adults and $3 for children. Tickets will be on sale Wednesday's and Sunday's in the Worship Center Lobby. Entertainment will be provided by Steve Brogan, ventriloquist.

Senior Adult Luncheon
Thursday, Feb. 16 at 12pm in the CLC. Cost is $4. Special Guest, NC Artist William Mangum. Call the church office to sign up.

Kalos Coffee
Our monthly ladies' fellowships will begin Sun. Feb. 19th at 7:15pm. Contact lawndalementoring@yahoo.com to register and sign up for childcare.

Single Ladies Bible Study
For all ages. "Finding Contentment" by Sharon Steele. We will meet on Thursdays at 7pm in the White House beginning March 1.

Learn to Grow Phalaenopsis Orchids
March 6 from 6:30-7:30pm in Room 217. No charge but you must register by calling the office at 288-3824. Door prizes will be awarded! Arvil Pennington will teach how anyone can grow these amazing orchid plants.

Pre-Marriage Class
A class for couples considering marriage or preparing for marriage will be offered on seven Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:30pm in Room 263 beginning March 7. Call the church office to register.

Florida Trip to Walt Disney World Resort April 9-12
Spend your Spring Break in beautiful Orlando, FL enjoying parks such as Disney World, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and Epcot. Amazing Wonders Vacation Bible School
June 25-29, 9am-12Noon-Our lead teachers will begin looking for many assistant teachers. Reserve the dates and join a class! 

Save the Date! 100th Anniversary of the Titanic
Join us for a one night trip to Pigeon Forge, TN to visit the permanent Titanic Museum. We will enjoy the Dollywood Parade with Dolly as Grand Marshall and the Wonders of Magic Show. Church bus transportation is included. Trip Cost is $142 each, double occupancy or $172 for single.

Men & Women's Softball
Now is the time to sign up for the spring season. If you are interested in playing, contact Jimmy Jackson in the church office immediately as space is limited and the rosters will fill up quickly.

Volunteers Needed at Joyner Elementary School
Proctors are needed for testing on Feb. 15-March 9 from 8:30-10am. Call Miriam Palma at 336-460-4436 if you are able to help on any of these days.

Christian Book Collection
Lawndale's RA's are collecting Bibles and other Christian teachings and reference books, new and used to donate to the State RA Race event on March 31. If you have any of these types of books and are willing to donate, please put them in the Collection Bin on the First Floor.

We are updating family photos in our database. If you have a new one, please email it to Carol McKinney at cmckinney@lawndalebaptist.org or bring it by the office for us to scan and return to you.

Weekday Preschool Registration
Registration for the school year 2012-2013 will begin at 9:00am on Monday, February 6, 2012 through Friday, February 10, 2012. Because some of the age groups have limited enrollment and registration is taken on first come first serve basis, it is advised that you register early. You may come by Ann Johnson's office or you may pick up registration forms outside her office starting on Wednesday, February 1. If you need more information, call 288-4177.

Personal Care Items Needed
We are collecting items for Greensboro Urban Ministry now unitl Sunday, February 12. Items needed are: combs, razors, dental floss, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, shampoo, soap, conditioner, lotion, hand sanitizer, body wash, shaving cream, and tissues. Drop off your donations at the Collection Area on the First Floor. Thank you!

DivorceCare and GriefShare Spring Semester
Tuesday evenings at 7pm. DivorceCare meets in Room 263 and GriefShare meets in Room 216.

LifePlus
The Spring Semester of LifePlus continues on Sunday evenings at 5pm. A list of classes currently being offered is at the Welcome Desk in the Lobby.  

2012 Flower Calendar
We still have openings for memorial or honor flowers throughout the year. Sign up on the schedule in the CLC Lobby. Arrangements are $75 to $100. You are welcome to take your flowers home after the Sunday Evening Service. 

Lost & Found
If you have lost an item of clothing, glasses, Bible, etc., please check the Lost and Found area near the elevator lobby and see if it is there.

Weekday Children's Learning Center
We are still collecting Box Tops for Education.  The collection box is located on the first floor next to the drink machines.

Weekly Word for Women
Join this weekly Bible Study led by Phyllis Postma that meets in the Worship Center at 9am every Wednesday morning.

Shepherd's Shelf Food Pantry
The Benevolence Committee thanks you for your generous support for this ministry. If you would like to contribute, bags are available behind the Welcome Desk in the Worship Center Lobby. A list of items needed is attached to the bag.

Wednesday Dinner News
If you are a new member and are attending the Embarking Class, you are eligible to recieve one free meal on Wednesday night. Please call the church office to make supper reservations or to cancel your permanent reservation by Noon on Tuesdays.
