The Good News

Dear friend -

According to the Bible, God created people to have fellowship with Him. The Bible also teaches that fellowship between people and God was broken when humans disobeyed Him and sinned. People were left in an eternal dilemma. On our own, we could never recover from our sin and separation problem. The Bible teaches that God was fully aware of our dilemma. God in the flesh, Jesus Christ, came to earth on a mission of love and mercy. That mission brought Jesus to a cross, where He bled, suffered and died to restore humanity's relationship with Him. He did this by taking our penalty for sin upon Himself. His bodily resurrection three days later proved His power over sin and death. It is possible for anyone to have a restored relationship with God. The Bible teaches that there is nothing that a person could do to earn it. God's gift of a restored relationship and eternal life in heaven can only be received by faith. Lawndale is on a journey to connect people to the good news of restoration, hope and eternal life.

We invite you to become a part of that journey . . .

  • Understand that you have sinned and are in need of God's forgiveness (Rom. 3:23)

  • Repent of (turn away from) your sins and ask God to forgive you (Acts 2:38)

  • Accept that Jesus Christ's death and resurrection is the only payment for your sin debt to God (1 Tim. 2:5)

  • Submit to Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior (Rom. 10:9-10)

If you are genuinely sincere in seeking God's forgiveness and want to have an intimate relationship with Him, pray the following prayer:

Dear Lord, I thank you for loving me, even though I am a sinner and have fallen short of your expectations. I know that there is no way that I can merit my favor before you. I accept your gift of forgiveness through the death and resurrection of your son, Jesus Christ. I ask that you forgive me of my sins. I ask that you become my personal Lord and Savior, Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, PLEASE LET US KNOW!
